24 June 2013 - KAI Square presents the Unified Platform, a Platform-as-a-Service that enables video analytics and mobile surveillance to be deployed on cloud.
24 June 2013 - KAI Square had the honor of presenting our Unified Platform solution at the iDA booth during the recent CommunicAsia 2013. This event, which was held in conjunction with BroadcastAsia 2013 & Enterprise IT 2013, saw more than 51,000 industry experts from all over the world gather to exchange expertise and information on the latest technologies. iDA booth was graced by the
presence of many foreign delegates, as well as Singapore's Minister for
Communications and Information, Yaacob Ibrahim.
The message that iDA brought down to the event was one of 'Smart' Nation, "a sensor fabric network connecting anything and everything", through wiring up the island city state, and the embrace of Internet of Things.

In line with the iDA theme, we showcased different video analytics technology, deployed on the cloud-based
Unified Platform. Other than video analytics for surveillance purposes, video analytics can also capture business intelligence data to help companies maximize profits and optimize cost. Analytics such as People Counting provides information on in and out traffic flow in any given zone to help managers understand traffic flow patterns, and a means to measure customer conversion rates in a physical retail setting. Audience Profiling provides age and gender information on the faces captured within video footages, which can be used to provide important demographics information for any B2C business. Human Traffic Flow captures direction of movement, to predict preferred routes taken by people to enable the optimization of the use of space. Running as an open platform system, these data aggregated on the Unified Platform can also
be custom integrated with other third party systems and analytics for an
even more comprehensive solution.
As Singapore moves towards transformation into a Smart Nation, we aim to further develop our strength in data capture through video analytics to become a core technology provider in the sensory fabric network of Singapore.
